Consultant, OpenShift Infrastructure - Top Secret clearance
Red Hat Services is seeking a Consultant to deliver hands-on technical solutions that address client business challenges, promote adoption of Red Hat’s technologies, and enable best practices. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, open-source awareness, and enterprise-level problem-solving skills.
About the role
You will work on-site with clients daily in the East Coast area. Successful candidates must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business and hold an active Top Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Guide customers in building scalable, optimally managed solutions using Red Hat technologies, adaptable to technological improvements.
- Continuously learn, grow, and adapt to new skills and technologies.
- Travel weekly (Monday-Thursday) to client locations, including some outside your local area.
Requirements
- Experience delivering implementations based on architectural designs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, including collaborating on timelines and maintaining documentation.
- Ability to identify stakeholder needs and set expectations regarding project scope and timelines.
- Experience working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Mentorship skills and enthusiasm for knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science or a technical discipline.
- Technical certifications such as Security+ and Network+.
- Experience delivering modern cloud platform consulting engagements.
- Linux system administration experience, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative.
- Experience with source code management tools like GitLab.
- Experience with or working knowledge of Ansible.
- Experience with enterprise cloud solutions (Platform-as-a-Service).
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
- Basic knowledge of networking principles (TCP, DNS, DHCP, IPs).
- Experience with Red Hat Identity Management (IdM).
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Onboarding & Growth
After joining Red Hat, you will undergo an intensive customized training program on Red Hat technologies and Services solutions.
- Within 2 months: Prepare to join a project team by learning how to build production-ready solutions integrated with enterprise systems, enhancing consulting skills through expert-led enablements, and gaining exposure to Red Hat’s internal communities.
- Within 6 months: Support Services projects as a technical lead, delivering customer solutions using Red Hat’s technologies, developing project plans from customer use cases, and expanding your knowledge through enablement and networking.
- Within 12 months: Demonstrate technical leadership by implementing complex, large-scale solutions in customer environments and actively engaging in knowledge sharing with internal and external communities.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $106,100.00 – $169,640.00. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications and may include bonus, commission, and/or equity.
