Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement rigorous research methodologies to support real-world evidence generation, including epidemiological and pharmacoepidemiological research, and health economics & outcomes research (HEOR)
  • Analyze diverse healthcare data sources, including, but not limited to, health insurance claims data, electronic health records, clinical trial data, registries, and survey data, using statistical tools such as SQL, R, SAS, Stata, Python, etc.
  • Design and generate client deliverables and make valuable contributions to technical study reports
  • Manage client relationships and communicate results and work product as appropriate
  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium sized client engagements and discrete segments of larger projects, including prioritizing assignments and responsibilities to meet deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Delegate assignments to staff, instruct and monitor progress, and review work product for completeness and accuracy
  • Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods and computer models to develop solutions
  • Participate in group practice meetings, contribute to business development initiatives and office functions such as staff training and recruiting

Qualifications

  • PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Science, or other data science related disciplines is required; PhD in Epidemiology is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of directly relevant work experience in real-world evidence research, consulting, the pharmaceutical industry, or federal government roles focused on epidemiology or HEOR
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience in statistical programming, data analysis, and applying rigorous methods to real-world research
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to independently execute complex data analytics in at least one programming language (e.g., SQL, R, SAS, Stata, Python etc.), and to interpret results. An interest in further developing technical skills and mentoring others is required
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams and external experts to support regulatory submissions and prepare high-quality presentations, conference abstracts, and peer-reviewed publications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences and contribute effectively in a team environment, including supervising junior colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and high-quality work

About the role

This position is based in BRG’s Boston, MA; New York, NY; or Washington, DC office working with colleagues in the office three to four days a week, on average.

Pay

Salary Range: $130,000 - $190,000 per year
