About the Role

As a Norstella Director of Epidemiology & HEOR Consulting, you lead the design and execution of real-world evidence, epidemiology, and health economics and outcomes research engagements for life sciences clients. This role serves as a senior scientific and strategic advisor, translating client business and evidence needs into rigorous, fit-for-purpose research approaches leveraging real-world data. The Director provides methodological leadership across study design, protocol development, analysis, interpretation, and communication of findings. They partner closely with Commercial teams to scope new opportunities, develop proposals, and represent HEOR and epidemiology capabilities in client discussions. The role also provides leadership and mentorship to consulting team members while ensuring high-quality, impactful delivery across engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of real-world evidence, epidemiology, and health economics and outcomes research engagements for life sciences clients.
  • Serve as a senior scientific and strategic advisor, translating client business and evidence needs into rigorous research approaches.
  • Provide methodological leadership across study design, protocol development, analysis, interpretation, and communication of findings.
  • Partner with Commercial teams to scope new opportunities, develop proposals, and represent HEOR and epidemiology capabilities in client discussions.
  • Mentor and lead consulting team members to ensure high-quality, impactful delivery across engagements.
  • Manage multiple workstreams and teams simultaneously, creating complete, "client-ready" deliverables with creative analyses.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in life sciences strategy consulting and program management, with an emphasis in Real World Data Strategy or similar roles within biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical commercialization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and teams, creating "client-ready" deliverables.
  • Deep understanding and breadth of experience across the market access and real-world data landscape.
  • Experience in mentorship and development of junior managers and associates.
  • Comprehensive understanding of life science and pharmaceutical engagement strategies and tactics, acting as a thought partner to clients.
  • Significant experience with data analytics and quantitative models to support strategic client engagements.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work with cross-functional staff autonomously with little direction.
