About the role

The Securities, Accounting and Regulatory Enforcement group within FTI Consulting's Dispute Advisory Services (DAS) segment focuses on providing expert testimony, litigation consulting, forensic economic, and damages analyses in various litigated matters. This includes high-profile lawsuits and investigations involving securities litigation, trading and investment analyses, financial regulatory enforcement, hedge fund and private equity fund disputes, financial product matters, valuation, restructuring, and solvency, and commercial disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Apply economic, financial, statistical, and analytical skills to various client situations, specific to client needs.
  • Perform technical, industry, and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information.
  • Aid in preparing reports and schedules summarizing findings that will be delivered to clients and other parties.
  • Maintain detailed analyses reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks.
  • Support litigation consulting projects by interacting with other FTI team members, client personnel, and professionals from other firms involved in the engagement.
  • Supervise more junior team members' analyses.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics, or any other quantitative discipline with demonstrated interest in finance and economics.
  • 1+ years of finance or economics experience.
  • Strong financial modeling skills using Microsoft Excel and experience with at least one statistical software (Stata, SAS, R).
  • A general understanding of finance, economics, and valuation principles.
  • Top-notch writing and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior litigation experience.
