About the role

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Consultant, Database Administrator to join their team in Round Rock, TX. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide database operations support, including monitoring databases, backups, and resolving incidents according to standard procedures.
  • Support production databases with a focus on availability, capacity, performance, security, and recoverability.
  • Design, develop, and implement database systems to meet application and business needs across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of new database technologies, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams and senior leadership to develop innovative database solutions and strategies.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4j, or similar platforms on Linux VM & Kubernetes.
  • Strong expertise in automation using Ansible and OLAM playbook development, with experience in Spec Driven Development (SDD).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, and maintain complex database environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Deep understanding of database principles, cluster management, replication, and multi-datacenter configurations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
