Duties and responsibilities

  • Create a positive team member experience.
  • Respond to client inquiries and requests from state & local tax agencies.
  • Travel to client locations as support for the team.
  • Review documentation and research issues.
  • Work with raw data to complete calculations.
  • Draft documents such as information requests, applications, tax forms, client deliverables, and other correspondence.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, International Business, Real Estate, Economics, or Business Administration, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Preferred relevant work experience (internships, summer positions, school jobs).
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree and up to three years of related business experience in economic development or the Governor’s office.
  • Desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet navigation and research.

Certificates And Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting or standing while working.
  • Requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
  • Independent travel requirement: 30 to 40%.
