What Business Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

- Apply comprehensive IT knowledge to solve complex business challenges with innovative, objective-aligned solutions.
- Manage and contribute to large-scope projects autonomously, with general guidance on new initiatives.
- Actively practice and promote Agile methods within a distributed team.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks, providing clear workload and priority insights to management.
- May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
- Proactively identify and recommend strategic process enhancements to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Elicit and translate complex business needs into clear user stories and functional specifications and maintain a healthy story backlog
- Map end-to-end processes, ensuring requirements align with project scope and strategy.
- Mediate and foster collaboration across IT teams to design and deliver solutions, leveraging existing capabilities.
- Lead testing, verification, validation of requirements and solutions, and create test plan and script as needed.
- Triage product issues and coordinate timely resolution with relevant teams.
- Write SQL for testing, verification, and ad-hoc data requests.
- Actively participate in all Agile development lifecycle phases, and lead agile ceremonies like stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning
- Possess strong Jira experience for user story management, sprint/release planning, tracking, and report/dashboard creation.
- Partner with stakeholders (e.g., Regulatory, Quality) to translate needs into technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred , or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 5+ years as an IT Functional or Systems Analyst in a corporate environment preferred, with familiarity in custom-developed web applications.
- Exceptional communication, listening, and presentation skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and diagramming tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio).
- Solid understanding of database concepts and hands-on experience with SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Proven ability to thrive in Agile environments, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Jira experience for user story management, sprint/release planning, tracking, and report/dashboard creation.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about continuous learning and professional development.
- Familiarity with managing or solutioning applications within cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Anticipated salary range
Anticipated salary range: $80,900 - $115,500
