The Work You Can Do: As a consultant, you’ll work alongside experienced team members to contribute directly to projects that call for clear thinking and excellent execution across strategic planning, project management, research and data analytics, facilitation, and strategic communication. You Work May Include: Supporting client engagements related to strategic planning, research, data analytics, meeting and retreat facilitation, consensus building, and strategic communicationIdentifying client needs, defining goals and objectives, and developing communication deliverables, plans, and campaigns that are aligned with client goalsManaging your pieces of a project: developing plans and timelines, tracking action items and deadlines, reporting progress on milestones, incorporating feedback, and seeing work through to deliveryDrafting client-facing plans, presentations, proposals, memos, and other documents with careful attention to language, formatting, and consistencyLearning a wide variety of subject matter related to client industriesDeveloping processes and spotting opportunities to improve an idea, solve a problem, or make a deliverable stronger The Teammate We're Looking For: Communicates clearly and pays close attention to the detailsThinks critically and enjoys solving problemsTakes initiative, owns timelines and work product, and follows through with minimal oversightHas the ability to move between projects and priorities as needed without losing sight of deadlinesBrings a strong work ethic and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentIs eager to learn new skills, adopt new methodologies, and grow professionallyIs willing to roll up their sleeves on any task — from developing the big picture to getting the details rightWants to build trust with clients by staying client-focused and delivering above and beyond expectationsIs based in Louisiana's Capital and Acadiana regions; however, statewide applicants will be considered and are encouraged to apply What You'll Bring to the Team: A bachelor’s degree in business, communication studies, or a related fieldExperience in business management, project management, the public sector, consulting, or comparable experience demonstrating the skills needed for this roleStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsThe ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and deliverables at onceProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Why Emergent Method?
