Potomac River Partners is a specialized management consulting firm focused on compliance services for the life sciences industry, serving large and medium‑sized pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

Position Description

We are seeking a Consultant to participate on client engagements and help grow the business. The consultant will work closely with the Potomac team on client engagements and will also support internal initiatives, including development of new offerings and services. Candidates should be comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment and demonstrate independence and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage project tasks and workstreams such as developing process maps and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct data analysis and financial reconciliations.
• Develop the firm’s internal infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of prior corporate experience; consulting experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with the healthcare/pharmaceutical sector.
• BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of databases (e.g., Access) and process‑mapping tools (e.g., Visio) preferred.

Location & Travel

The role is based in Arlington, VA (near the Rosslyn metro stop). Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Washington, DC metro area. Travel is required approximately 40% of the time.
