Consultant, Advanced Analytics: Embedded Channel

Liberty Mutual Insurance · Plano, TX · 1 wk ago
AnalystFull-time

Liberty Mutual's Embedded Channel, a quoting experience hosted directly on partner websites, saw millions of quotes in the past year—three times the volume of our call center and LM.com combined. Yet conversion remains low, meaning even a tenth of a percent improvement translates to thousands of additional policies annually. This role is a unique opportunity to be the dedicated advanced analytics expert for a high-growth channel still in its early chapters. Launched in 2023, piloted through 2024, and now rapidly scaling with an expanding partner base, you’ll work closely with SPG relationship managers and leadership, partner with product teams, and present findings regularly to SPG leadership and their direct reports. The work centers on funnel optimization, A/B testing, and answering critical questions around questionnaire design and underwriting defaults across diverse partner experiences.

This role may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location. Candidates who live within 50 miles of Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Columbus, OH; or Plano, TX will follow a hybrid schedule, coming into the office two days per week. Otherwise, this role is remote.

  • Conducts high-complexity, independent analysis in support of the Embedded Channel business.
  • Manages complex projects, providing technical and analytical assessments of issues facing the Embedded Channel.
  • Utilizes advanced statistical techniques to solve business problems, often working with complex data sources.

  • Manages one or more complex research projects related to the Embedded Channel.
  • Presents findings and recommendations to senior leadership that impact profitability, growth, and/or customer satisfaction.
  • Leads discussions with senior leaders at the department or functional level, communicating analytical results clearly and persuasively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 5 years (typically 7 or more years) of related experience required; Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields are preferred.
  • Master’s Degree preferred; advanced education may be substituted for years of experience (e.g., Ph.D. with no professional experience).
  • Deep knowledge of data sources, tools, and business drivers.
  • Ability to apply advanced analytical concepts to improve business outcomes.
  • Ability to build analytic tools that will be used by business teams to analyze results and opportunities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, Emblem).

  • Ability to present data, visually and verbally, to guide conversations with business managers.
