New crew members earn an additional $2,000 in bonuses during their first year: $500 every quarter, subject to applicable withholding taxes.

About the role

Under the guidance of your crew foreman, you will learn and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards to construct buildings efficiently and safely.

  • Read, understand, and build according to construction plans
  • Utilize various tools and equipment to safely construct buildings
  • Execute tasks such as digging and installing footings, framing walls and roof structures, installing windows, doors, siding, roofing materials (hi-rib steel, shingles, wood), and mortarless masonry units
  • Finish buildings with metal and wood trims
  • Work collaboratively in a safe, organized, and productive environment

Requirements

  • Building construction (post-frame), carpentry, or framing experience preferred (on the job or in school)
  • Willingness to participate in and complete a training program
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred
  • Available to work 9-10 hours during peak construction season
  • Ability to take direction and produce quality work efficiently
  • Commitment to comply with all safety processes and procedures
  • Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools safely
  • Ability to operate specialized safety equipment effectively
  • Standard weight lifting: 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Capable of working in a physically demanding environment and at heights up to 40 feet
  • 25% travel required, including overnight travel up to two weeks at a time

Pay

$22.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience. Paid weekly.
