Construction Trades Non-Tenure Track Faculty - Gallatin College (Applicant Pool)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand industry standards and best practices as well as college rules and regulations.
  • Communicate well with all types of learners at different levels of expertise.
  • Recognize safety hazards and unsafe operation of tools or equipment and be able to instruct students in proper use.
  • Maintain and inventory any applicable equipment utilized in the classroom or lab settings; Inventory consumables and prepare reorder lists for restocking.
  • Maintain an organized and clean learning environment.
  • Provide and/or locate emergency medical assistance when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in related field.
  • AAS or similar degree in related field.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate construction trades technique(s) to students who may possess a variety of skill and talent.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and engaging various groups of learners within and outside of a department.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in the field that topic of instruction relates to.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Industry standard professional certification(s).
  • Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff enrichment.
  • Prior teaching experience.
  • Understanding of the two-year college mission.
