Construction Testing Technician

What You’ll Do

• Travel to construction sites in the Fredericksburg region to perform field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials
• Work alongside contractors, engineers, and inspectors on active construction projects
• Perform basic field tests using specialized equipment and industry procedures
• Document test results and site observations using a tablet or field reports
• Communicate with project managers and field supervisors regarding testing needs or site conditions
• Maintain and properly use testing equipment while following safety standards

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Interest in construction, engineering, or field work
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and remain active throughout the workday
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

Pay

Compensation for this position is $18 to $20/Hourly, commensurate with experience, education and certifications.

Qualifications

• No prior testing experience is required — we provide training and pay for industry certifications
• Previous Construction Experience Is Helpful But Not Required
