Construction Technologies Specialist
About the role
Moss is a national privately held construction firm providing innovative solutions resulting in award-winning projects. The Construction Technologies Specialist I helps standardize field workflows and support adoption of construction management platforms on active projects. The role applies working knowledge of construction processes (project setup, document management, cost control) to turn jobsite needs into clear practical practices. Working with Operations, the Specialist I assists with rollouts and training, keeps feedback loops active so standards stay useful, and helps ensure technology improves safety, quality, schedule, and cost outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve SOPs, checklists, and standardized workflows that work on jobsites
- Support implementation efforts for assigned tasks, including site readiness, pilot participation, and go-live support
- Travel to project sites to observe current processes, coach users, capture pain points, and share best practices
- Build training documentation and short how-to guides for new or changed workflows
- Partner with team members to shape configurations, forms, logs, dashboards, and reports that match operational needs
- Track adoption and data quality
- Support evaluations and pilots of new tools and features with clear success criteria
- Serve as a point of contact for routine process questions and adoption blockers, route technical issues to the right teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years in construction operations across one or more projects
- Experience using construction management platforms (e.g., Procore); exposure to ERP systems is a plus
- Familiarity with field workflows, including document management, RFIs, submittals, quality, safety, and scheduling
- Ability to translate business and user needs into scalable, platform-based solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
Language: Spanish not required; bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL. Classification: Full-time – exempt – salaried. Reports to: Manager, Construction Technologies.
