Construction Technology Specialist
What You Will Be Doing
- Aid in supporting Technology Council initiatives and implementing new technology
- Stay updated on field processes and how technology can be used more effectively
- Attend conferences and build industry networks to stay current and research new updates to software and equipment relevant to Garney's work
- Explore emerging technologies and their practical use on the job site
- Have a strong understanding of heavy civil and industrial construction processes and terminology
- Research, learn, and teach emerging technologies to various individuals at different knowledge levels, including presentations, small group settings, and one-on-one interactions
- Be proficient in construction technology and able to quickly learn new software
- Maintain relationships with those involved in construction technology
- Collaborate with internal departments, profit centers, and senior leadership to develop comprehensive processes and training regarding technology in the field
- Create and develop effective relationships with field craft and operations personnel
- Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field
- Minimum of three years of experience working in the AEC industry
- Drone license/certification
