About the role
Rekor Systems, Inc., is seeking individuals who are experienced in Construction to join our team. We specialize in the installation and maintenance of in-road traffic sensors and off-road components, and maintain, service, and troubleshoot traffic sensors and hardware throughout various states in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Operate walk-behind saws for cutting asphalt and concrete
- Perform digging of trenches and backfilling holes to prepare construction sites
- Utilize power tools such as drills, mixers, and blowers effectively
- Follow directions from project managers and supervisors
- Load and unload materials, with the ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Clean sites by removing hazardous materials and debris
- Assist craft workers with their duties when needed
- Travel out of town on a weekly basis
- Perform medium-duty manual labor tasks, including 12-6V battery installations
- Maintain vegetation at traffic count stations
- Service and maintain company vehicles
- Participate in both on-site and remote training sessions
- Comprehend and adhere to all company safety guidelines
- Work independently as a quick learner, completing tasks with minimal supervision
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in construction and manual labor
- Strong knowledge of how to work with common power tools (drills, mixers, blowers, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to travel in-state and out-of-state on a weekly basis
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to work outdoors for long periods of time in fluctuating weather conditions
- Basic working knowledge of computers and mobile devices
