Construction Technician

Essential Job Functions

• Aid in the installation of store shelving.
• Install various types of equipment such as food handling and checkout stands.
• Paint items within or around the store, including walls, equipment, etc.
• Perform light carpentry work throughout the store.
• Install floor tiles, patch troubled areas, and perform some light concrete work.
• Load and unload trucks as needed.
• Assist with electrical and plumbing issues in the store.
• Manage material handling and inventory control.
• Conduct ground maintenance tasks such as mowing grass, mulching, and maintaining exterior signage.

Supplemental Job Functions

• Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area.
• Safely operate various types of power tools.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent organizational skills to ensure work efficiency.
• Safe and friendly attitude in a public retail environment.
• Willingness to travel within a reasonable distance of their residence (1 to 1.5 hours).
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees and other contractors.
• Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds, lifting at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
