Responsibilities
- Documents field activities, observations, and testing results on transportation and utility infrastructure projects.
- Completes field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate.
- Notifies Engineer or Supervisor of problems.
- Acts as a liaison for client, contractor, and residents when needed.
- Maintains vehicle and equipment as necessary.
Requirements
- High School Graduate.
- OSHA 10, Troxler Safety & Hazmat Safety Training preferred.
- Michigan: MDEQ Construction Site Stormwater Operator, ACI/MCA Concrete Testing Certification, MDOT Density, MDOT HMA Testing Certification and MDOT Field Book with 0-2 years MDOT experience preferred.
- ABONMARCHE WILL PROVIDE TRAINING FOR THE NECESSARY CERTIFICATIONS IF THE APPLICANT DOES NOT HAVE THEM.
Qualifications
- 0-5 Years.
- INDOT or MDOT experience preferred.
- Building trades or highway construction or public works experience a plus.
Work Environment
- Typical office environment with work performed outside on a project site.
- May be exposed to extreme temperatures.
- May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety boots/shoes, hard hat, safety vest, etc.
