Control Point Associates is a leading surveying firm with over 30 years of experience specializing in construction stakeouts, boundary surveys, and 3D laser scanning. We serve industries such as construction, engineering, and land development and are expanding our team in Warren, NJ.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee surveying projects, ensure quality control, and drive business development. This role involves a mix of field and office-based work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality control of all survey documents, including survey plans, record plots, metes and bounds descriptions, and review of title commitment reports and construction layout services.
- Provide weekly progress and status reports on project deliverables to stakeholders and management.
- Administer surveying activities, including oversight of staff, technical resources, and client communication for multiple projects.
- Prepare and execute quality control reviews, safety, and quality assurance procedures.
- Convey our Integrated Business Model in business development discussions and maintain a strong market presence.
- Initiate and participate in business development activities to partner with new and existing clients.
- Increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Monitor project budgets, ensure project profitability, prepare billing reports, and assist with account collections.
- Develop staff, prepare contracts, and maintain accountability for project metrics.
- Champion our brand, values, and culture with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Demonstrate commitment by working the hours needed to meet project demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven track record in business development and leadership.
- Minimum of 8 years of survey experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of construction surveying experience.
- Experience with vertical construction techniques preferred.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Excellent communication, diplomacy, and listening skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and drawings.
- Proficiency in technical software, spreadsheets, and business applications.
- Strong drive to succeed.

Pay
Pay Range: $120,000–$145,000+ depending on experience and licensing.
