About the role
McBride Homes is seeking to expand its team of Construction Superintendents for both its Land Development and Homes Division. The company offers competitive compensation, outstanding medical benefits, a 401(k) plan with matching contribution, paid vacation, and numerous company outings.
Key Responsibilities For Land Development
- Manage the day-to-day field operations for large scale residential developments, including clearing, earthwork, sanitary sewer installation, storm sewer installation, water main installation, pavement construction, and other utility installations.
- Communicate often with municipalities and their employees.
- Afford job cost and hit development budgets given for each project task.
- Effectively manage stormwater compliance including permit requirements and Pollution Prevention Plan maintenance.
- Make daily site visits to each development.
- Uphold project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot issues and complaints as they arise.
- Deliver developed lots to the home builder on time and per plan.
Key Responsibilities For Homes Division
- Schedule, supervise, and manage various trades for multiple jobs at a time.
- Communicate daily with corporate office staff, vendors, field staff, and sales team. Keep them updated on job site progress, answer questions, and manage their expectations.
- Identify and communicate material shortages, labor cost differences for each job.
- Make daily site visits to each home.
- Uphold project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot issues and complaints as they arise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction engineering, or civil/structural engineering preferred.
- Current knowledge/understanding of building practices, codes, and requirements.
- Comfortable with technology, embrace change, and understand the efficiency of technology.
- Proficient with MS Office Products, in particular, Excel & Outlook.
- Ability to use construction software to manage all aspects of the job.
- Excellent time management, organization skills, and attention to detail.
- Minimal travel required; must own or lease a truck and have a valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record and insurance coverage.
Salary
$50,000 - $85,000 per year
