Construction Superintendent - New Construction Residential High-Rise

About the role

A highly regarded family-owned general contractor in New York City is seeking a full-time Superintendent to oversee ground-up projects in Brooklyn, focusing on residential high-rise and mixed-income multifamily developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for ground-up residential high-rise projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain schedule and budget
• Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Manage site logistics, including site access, laydown areas, and temporary facilities
• Conduct regular inspections and report progress to project leadership
• Resolve field issues promptly to minimize delays and cost overruns

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction supervision experience, preferably on large-scale residential or mixed-use projects
• Direct experience with ground-up multifamily high-rise construction in NYC
• Proficiency with Procore or equivalent construction management software
• Strong understanding of NYC building codes, DOB requirements, and safety protocols
• Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
