Construction Superintendent

About the role

Whiting-Turner is a National ENR Top 25 General Contractor committed to fostering a positive and supportive work environment. We are seeking a Field Supervision role for various commercial projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex projects without delays while focusing on customer satisfaction.
• Implement and maintain full control over all field matters, ensuring safety, adherence to schedule, and quality expectations.
• Enforce safety protocols and hold certifications such as OSHA 30.
• Lead and mentor diverse teams, demonstrating strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Show commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in construction practices.
• Manage financial impacts on site and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and drawings.

Requirements

• 5 to 20+ years of industry experience.
• Proven ability to manage field matters and enforce safety standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with scheduling methodologies and software.
• Ability to manage financial aspects of projects.
• Knowledge of construction principles and a desire to advance in the field.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is dependent on a variety of factors including role, level, education, experience, training, skills, and abilities, location, and market considerations. Individual pay is determined through interviews and assessments of these factors.
