Construction Superintendent
About the role
Whiting-Turner is a National ENR Top 25 General Contractor committed to fostering a positive and supportive work environment. We are seeking a field supervisor for various commercial projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver complex projects without delays while focusing on customer satisfaction.
- Implement and maintain full control over all field matters, ensuring safety, adherence to schedule, and quality expectations.
- Lead and mentor diverse teams, demonstrating strong commitment to safety and effective problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Show knowledge of construction principles and a drive to advance your career.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate proficiency in interpreting and implementing technical specifications and drawings.
Requirements
- 5 to 20+ years of industry experience.
- Proven ability to manage financial impacts on site.
- Strong commitment to safety, including OSHA 30 certification.
- Knowledge of construction principles and a desire to innovate and improve processes.
- Bachelor of Science in construction management, construction technology, engineering, or engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with scheduling methodologies and software.
- Experience managing financial impacts on site.
- Ability to interpret and implement technical specifications, blueprints, and drawings.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is dependent on a variety of factors including role, level, relevant education, experience, training, skills, abilities, location, and market considerations. Individual pay is determined through interviews and assessments of these factors.
