Construction Superintendent

About the Role

Whiting-Turner, a ‘National ENR Top 25 General Contractor’ that values its employees and fosters a positive and supportive culture, is seeking qualified field supervision for various commercial projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-based working environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex projects without delays, emphasizing customer satisfaction.
• Implement and maintain full control of all field matters, enforcing safety, schedule adherence, and quality expectations on site.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team while demonstrating effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Interpret and implement technical specifications, blueprints, technical manuals, product/material installation instructions, and engineering/architectural drawings.
• Manage financial impacts on site and utilize scheduling methodologies and software.

Requirements

• 5 to 20+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Strong commitment to promoting safety, including certifications comparable to OSHA 30.
• Knowledge of construction principles and ambition to succeed/advance.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Practitioner of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in construction management, construction technology, an engineering discipline, or engineering technology.

Pay

The base salary range for this position represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting and is dependent on factors including role, level, relevant education, experience, training, skills, abilities, location, and market/business considerations. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of these factors. The annual base salary range is subject to change at the Company’s discretion.
