Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to customer, governmental, and corporate safety requirements, fostering a culture of safety on the jobsite
- Conduct daily job safety analyses to minimize exposure and risk for all personnel involved in the project
- Develop and execute project work plans, revising them as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project completion
- Manage project budgets and expenses, ensuring projects are completed within defined budgetary constraints
- Develop project estimates as required, considering factors such as labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs
- Manage project quality and ensure work is performed in accordance with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable codes
- Follow specifications and drawings associated with the project to ensure compliance and uphold quality standards
- Communicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns as needed
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability among project team members
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and mitigate potential issues or disputes
- Understand and interpret contract terms and conditions to minimize exposure and risk on the project
- Identify and address project challenges in a timely and effective manner, implementing solutions to keep the project on track
- Adapt to changing project needs and requirements, adjusting work plans and strategies as necessary to achieve project objectives
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day work activities of the project crew, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient project execution
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in industrial or utility construction management
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods associated with the specific project types
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training (or equivalent) required prior to hire or within 30 days of onboarding
- NCCCO Rigger Level II certification preferred; candidates with or without Level I certification may be considered with the expectation to obtain Level II within 180 days of hire
