Construction Superintendent

This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday (45 hours per week). Frequent long hours, on-call shifts, weekend work, and local travel are required; occasional out-of-area or overnight travel may be expected.

About the role

The Construction Superintendent manages the day-to-day execution of construction projects, ensuring high-quality service for customers, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and company employees.

Responsibilities

• Compile and resolve punch-list items.
• Conduct intermittent walkthroughs with the customer.
• Secure a signed Certificate of Satisfaction (COS) from the customer.
• Provide daily narrative project updates to customers and clients at the Project Manager’s direction.
• Schedule subcontractors and material suppliers.
• Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, local codes, and scope-of-work requirements.
• Document project activities and daily progress at the Project Manager’s direction.
• Maintain quality standards through site inspections.
• Evaluate and rate vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate or communicate inspections with local jurisdictions and Project Managers.
• Ensure subcontractors complete all work in accordance with their purchase orders.
• Maintain job schedules and track progress.
• Submit and complete ITEL reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven track record in customer service.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Basic math proficiency.
• Experience in restoration and/or construction (preferred).

Work environment

• Walking and/or standing throughout the day.
• Frequent driving and sitting.
• Occasional ladder climbing.
• Occasional exposure to extreme heat or loud noise at jobsites.
