Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all construction activities for assigned projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Cook with project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and align with project goals and objectives.
- Manage subcontractor performance, including monitoring work progress, quality, and safety compliance, and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections and walkthroughs to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues or risks, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Enforce project safety policies and procedures, conduct safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety requirements.
- Manage project schedules and timelines, including coordinating work sequences, tracking progress, and updating schedules as needed.
- Resolve construction-related issues and conflicts that arise during the project and collaborate with project stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and as-built drawings, and ensure proper organization and maintenance of all project records.
- Coordinate with project owners, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address project needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture on-site.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management or related roles.
- Thorough knowledge of construction principles, practices, and techniques, including building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and implement action plans.
- An attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks and managing project documentation.
- Large project experience preferred.
- $20 M + ground-up construction experience required.
- Diverse project experience important.
- Travel may be required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License in good standing.
