About the role

Rockford is seeking a Superintendent to oversee dynamic projects in the construction industry. The role involves managing all field operations, supervising laborers, trade contractors, field engineers, and craft workers. Key responsibilities include leadership, communication, and fostering a collaborative, safe, and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all field operations on assigned projects
  • Directly supervise laborers, trade contractors, field engineers, and craft workers
  • Lead, manage, and mentor team members to promote professional growth
  • Organize and manage logistical and mentally complex jobs
  • Communicate effectively with customers, clients, and employees

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing residential and commercial projects
  • Experience leading or playing a significant role in managing construction projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex jobs
  • First Aid/CPR certification and OSHA training
  • Ability to read and understand complex documents and blueprints

Bonus Skills & Experience

  • Experience in leading large-scale education projects
  • Procore experience
  • MS Project training/certification
  • Knowledge of CSI format

Type of Environment

  • Hazards typically found on construction sites
  • Potential physical hazards such as noise, moving vehicles, atmospheric conditions, confined spaces, uneven surfaces, and elevated areas
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at all times while outside the job trailer
  • Occasional visits to the corporate office and job site trailer
  • Physical demands requiring the ability to sit for extended periods
