Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years commercial construction experience
- Journeyman carpenter certification
- Physically fit to lift 50 pounds, stand and walk for long durations
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to access Government sites
- Pass a government background check
- Experience in new and remodel construction projects
- Experience working in the federal construction industry
- Safety-minded, self-starter capable of supervising multiple tasks
Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of construction activities
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand and walk for long durations
- Proficient in organizing and conducting safety meetings
- Effective communication skills with all team members including Owner/owners rep, architects, engineers, inspectors
- Able to hold weekly progress meetings and follow a master schedule/mirror the progress with a 3 week look ahead schedule
