About the role
The Construction Superintendent position at Morton Buildings, Inc. is a full-time role supporting the Project Manager and Sales Consultant. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Supports Sales Consultants with pre-sale activities, such as participating in design meetings, providing construction expertise, and assisting with project prequalification.
- Develops and manages subcontractor relationships, maintaining a list of core subcontractors and overseeing their performance.
- Establishes a project plan to ensure proper staffing allocation for meeting project timelines.
- Maintains project progress, ensuring adherence to safety policies, compliance with building plans and contract documents, and quality of subcontractor work.
- Oversees the completion phase, including reviewing and completing punch lists.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of progressive construction management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow-through.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Expert-level knowledge of project planning software (e.g. Microsoft Project) and ability to develop coherent plans.
- Familiarity with construction and project management systems.
- Ability to travel approximately 80% of the year throughout the US.
Pay
Annual salary range from $85,000 to $120,000.
Schedule
Full-time position with significant travel required.
