Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent position at Morton Buildings, Inc. is a full-time role supporting the Project Manager and Sales Consultant. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Supports Sales Consultants with pre-sale activities, such as participating in design meetings, providing construction expertise, and assisting with project prequalification.
• Develops and manages subcontractor relationships, maintaining a list of core subcontractors and overseeing their performance.
• Establishes a project plan to ensure proper staffing allocation for meeting project timelines.
• Maintains project progress, ensuring adherence to safety policies, compliance with building plans and contract documents, and quality of subcontractor work.
• Oversees the completion phase, including reviewing and completing punch lists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of progressive construction management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow-through.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Expert-level knowledge of project planning software (e.g. Microsoft Project) and ability to develop coherent plans.
• Familiarity with construction and project management systems.
• Ability to travel approximately 80% of the year throughout the US.

Pay

Annual salary range from $85,000 to $120,000.

Full-time position with significant travel required.
