Construction Superintendent

This role is based in Poughkeepsie, NY and requires hands-on expertise to manage on-site operations for commercial construction projects, including interiors, clean rooms, and lab spaces.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily on-site construction activities to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Supervise subcontractors and construction crews to meet project specifications and safety standards.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with project plans, codes, and regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to address project requirements and resolve issues.
• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide construction activities.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project progress and updates.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks or delays to keep the project on track.
• General knowledge of building and construction codes.

Requirements

• Experience as a commercial construction site superintendent.
• Knowledge and experience with ground-up buildings, exterior renovations, interior finish work, etc.
• Proficiency with Procore.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage teams and projects effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in construction.
• A background in carpentry is considered a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
