Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Supports the Project Manager and General Superintendent to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed in the field regarding safety, scheduling, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Preconstruction:
• Partners with the Project Manager and Project Controls team to establish project schedules.
• Identifies pre-mobilization activities in conjunction with the Project Executive, General Superintendent, and the Project Manager.
• Attends project kickoff meetings.
• Construction:
• Supervises the work of trade contractors in several areas of a project.
• Enforces high safety standards including a clean job site.
• Inspects the quality of work for compliance with design standards and ensures corrective action occurs if/when necessary.
• Works collaboratively on the schedule for individual trade contractors or areas of a project to ensure milestone dates are met.
• Prepares and distributes daily reports.
• Closes out.
• Manages subcontractor closeout, transfer of utilities, owner training, work list, and punch list.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in construction management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA 30-hour certification.
• Construction document and drawing literacy, with knowledge of all phases of construction.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Procore.
