Construction Superintendent (Assistant to Senior Level)

Location

Durham, NC

Pay

Up to $110,000 annually

Experience

Construction supervision experience required; commercial construction experience preferred

Education

High School Diploma or GED required; construction-related education preferred

Type

Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule

Project-based schedule; travel as required

Oversee daily construction activities

Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and project stakeholders

Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget

Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies

Review plans, specifications, and construction documents

Assist with scheduling, material management, and project coordination

Provide technical guidance and construction support to field teams

Monitor productivity, quality control, and project performance

Complete required reports, logs, inspections, and punch lists

Maintain strong communication with project management, clients, and field personnel

Requirements

Experience supervising commercial construction projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and site operations
Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
Understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Willingness to travel as the project requires
