About the role
The Superintendent leads a team of educators and staff in providing a high-quality education to students in Southeast Michigan. The role involves strategic planning, budget management, and overseeing all aspects of school operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Oversee budgeting and financial management for the district.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal education regulations.
- Manage and mentor a team of teachers and administrators.
- Engage with community stakeholders to support educational initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in education administration.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing budgets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education or related field.
- Experience with technology integration in schools.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
