Construction Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of all daily field operations from project mobilization through final completion.
• Cordination and supervision of subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel.
• Ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.
• Monitoring project schedules and coordinating activities to maintain milestones and deadlines.
• Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure proper execution.
• Conducting daily site walks to monitor quality, productivity, and safety.
• Identifying and resolving field issues while maintaining open communication with project management and clients.
• Coordination of inspections and verification of completion of corrective actions when required.
• Maintaining daily reports, project documentation, and field records.
• Promoting a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Managing project quality, schedule, and subcontractor performance from start to finish.

Project Scope

• Exterior painting
• Stucco repair and restoration
• Ceiling installation and replacement
• Minor structural steel repairs
• Rooftop HVAC unit replacement
• General commercial building renovations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.
• Experience managing commercial renovation or building improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trade partners.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of OSHA construction safety requirements.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting public sector, state, municipal, or federal construction projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Experience with structural concrete, building envelope restoration, structural steel repairs, or mechanical equipment replacement.
• Experience managing renovation work in occupied or active facilities.

About the Role

This position offers the potential for continued employment on future commercial construction projects throughout the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas based on performance.

Schedule

The project is expected to last four months.
