Construction Superintendent

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for a project-based position within Orange County to oversee trades and manage daily on-site activities for multi-family new-construction projects. The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience, and confidence to engage and professionally interact with design professionals, consultants, and clients. This individual will work closely with the General Superintendent and Project Manager, fulfilling an integral role on each assigned project. Following this project, the position may require travel to other locations within Southern or Northern California.
Responsibilities
- Direct sub-contractors and other construction-related personnel
- Plan, coordinate, and safely execute work in accordance with contract documents, schedule, and budget
- Review submittals and shop drawings
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience for a General Contracting firm in the field
- Experience with Orange County permitting jurisdictions is a plus
- Experience with PEMB, conventional steel buildings, commercial class-A construction, and large concrete production
- Strong ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Functional computer skills for communication (Word, Excel, Project)
- Procore project management software (or similar) experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of the importance of safety and quality on a job site
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Construction or related technical field is a plus
Pay
Estimated base compensation range: $135,000 – $155,000/year. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location, market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
