Construction Superintendent

We're seeking a Superintendent who brings disciplined planning, strong technical expertise, and a steady commitment to safety, quality, and predictable project execution. This role is ideal for a field leader who takes work seriously, values clear expectations, and leads teams with consistency and professionalism. The Superintendent represents Boyd Jones on site and sets the standard for how work is planned, executed, and followed through.
Responsibilities
Leading Safety Performance on the Jobsite: Owns jobsite safety by integrating safety planning into daily operations and holding teams accountable for safe execution. Leads safety planning and daily safety discussions. Ensures hazards, near misses, and incidents are documented and addressed. Holds crews and trade partners accountable for safe work practices. Delivers a safe work environment.
Delivering Quality Work the First Time: Leads quality execution across all phases of the project to prevent defects and minimize rework. Executes the Quality Management Plan. Ensures work aligns with drawings and contract documents. Identifies and corrects quality issues early.
Planning, Scheduling & Coordination: Leads disciplined planning to ensure reliable workflow and schedule performance. Develops and maintains look-ahead schedules. Facilitates coordination meetings with trade partners. Identifies schedule risks and implements recovery strategies.
Driving Technical Execution in the Field: Applies technical knowledge and constructability expertise to guide field operations. Resolves complex field issues with sound judgment. Plans sequencing, logistics, and site access. Supports productive, well-coordinated jobsite operations.
Leading Teams & Building Strong Partnerships: Leads field teams and represents Boyd Jones to clients, inspectors, and trade partners. Communicates expectations clearly with crews and subcontractors. Works closely with Project Managers to manage schedule and risk. Maintains professional relationships with owners, inspectors, and partners.
Qualifications
7+ years of commercial construction field experience, including leadership as a Foreman, General Foreman, or Superintendent.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, safety practices, and subcontractor coordination.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using construction technology such as Procore, digital plans, tablets, and scheduling tools.
OSHA 30 certification required.
