ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Preconstruction Planning & Buyout
- Assist Director of Operations, Procurement Manager, and Project Manager with development of work scopes, logistics plans, and buyout strategies.
- Review contract documents for constructability and identify issues to be resolved via per-bid RFI’s.
- Develop preliminary project schedule for use in bidding and planning, and participate in post-bid evaluations.
- Absorb approvals and permits from local authorities to start construction.
- Communicate project plan with stakeholders and affected parties such that there are no surprises at construction start.

- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external team members from all levels of the corporation.
- Superior leadership skills with ability to align internal and external resources to a common set of objectives.
- Superb quantitative and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage change and maintain flexibility without losing sight of the goal.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- A college degree from an accredited university is required.
- Established sub-contractor relationships in Michigan and/or Arizona are preferred.
- Computer skills with MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Procore.
- Ability to read project drawings required.
- A minimum 4 years of field experience is required. Multi-family experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The position requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- You will also frequently walk, stand, and communicate with co-workers, guests, and the public.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position typically operates outdoors at a construction site, as well as indoors in an air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent and fluorescent light.
