Construction Superintendent
Our client, a global leading AEC firm in Central/North Jersey, is seeking a motivated superintendent to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to build long-term experience in one of the most stable, high-growth sectors of construction with a nationally expanding firm specializing in complex life-science and manufacturing projects.
About the role
You will lead daily union crews on a $50M pharmaceutical lab project, overseeing trade activities, safety, quality, and client coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead assigned vendors and union subcontractors to meet project goals and weekly schedules.
- Support complex pharmaceutical and manufacturing construction projects.
- Drive site safety objectives, review JSA documentation, and enforce regulatory compliance.
- Oversee workmanship, review submittals, and ensure all trades meet project quality standards.
- Interact with site-level client teams to promote strong, positive relationships.
- Assist in developing preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans.
- Maintain targeted vs. actual schedules and identify budget exceptions for assigned trades.
- Evaluate time and material (T&M) requests, support change documentation, and validate cost legitimacy.
- Facilitate communication between subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel.
- Perform regular field evaluations and contribute to daily reports on conditions, manpower, and safety.

Schedule
This is a fully onsite, contract-to-hire position based in Flemington, NJ.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $67.30 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
