About the role

The Construction Site Safety Manager/Trainer (SSHO) is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines at construction sites. The role involves conducting safety training sessions, monitoring work areas for hazards, and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts safety training sessions for workers on site safety procedures, equipment operation, and emergency response protocols.
  • Maintains a safe working environment by inspecting work areas for potential hazards and ensuring that corrective actions are taken.
  • Ensures adherence to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborates with other departments to develop and implement safety programs.
  • Monitors and evaluates safety performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety management or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience with risk assessment and hazard identification.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
