About the role

Construction site located in Pleasantville, NJ. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.

No experience necessary! If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role; if not, we will provide you with the training and everything you need for a great introduction to a career in the security industry.

Responsibilities

  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation
  • Secure entrances / patrol inside and outside the client’s premises
  • Frequent interactions with client employees and guests
  • Identify and report safety issues or hazardous conditions
  • Clearly and quickly report any suspicious activity
  • Provide detailed written witness reports
  • Mobile patrol / foot patrol

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Standard computer / technology skills needed
  • Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner
  • Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift
  • Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift
  • Previous security experience highly preferred
  • Active NJ SORA license or the ability to obtain one
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history

Pay

$18.00 per hour

Schedule

Full-time; two shift options: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am Monday through Friday, or 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm Monday through Friday.
