Responsibilities
- Organize tasks and assist with scheduling
- Prepare materials and equipment
- Ensure work meets safety, quality, and timeline expectations
- Communicate with the project manager, crew members, and subcontractors
- Occasionally perform physical labor including lifting (50–90 lbs.), pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, walking, and reaching for extended periods
- Travel 90% of the time (unless local to the construction site)
- Ascend/descend structures safely
- Inspect work progress, equipment, and job sites
- Coordinate daily work activities of construction crew with subcontractor activities
- Plan and oversee site activities
- Coordinate inventory of construction materials and equipment
- Collaborate with managerial or technical personnel, other departments or subcontractors
- Aids in preparing documentation and reporting accidents or injuries
Requirements
- Ability to occasionally perform physical work including lifting (50–90 lbs.), pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, walking, and reaching for extended periods
- Knowledge of OSHA and agricultural safety standards
- Basic computer and software knowledge, including iPad technology
- Ability to manage and build good relationships with employees to motivate; foster open, honest and candid communication; and determine strengths and weaknesses
- Excellent communication skills – reading/writing/verbal for efficiency in cooperative work assignments, to follow and promote safe work practices, and prepare and transmit consistent, accurate reports and time keeping
- Ability to keep accurate records related to all activities on the assigned construction site
- Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills to answer questions, address complaints and resolve problems with employees, subcontractors and customers
- Skilled in meeting quality standards for service and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational or college training preferred
- Construction site experience preferred, will train the right candidate
- Ability to read, write, and speak English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred
