Construction Site Development Coordinator

Job Overview

The Jay Odom Group is seeking a Construction Site Development Coordinator to join their construction and development team in Destin, FL. This full-time, on-site role involves coordinating permit submittals, organizing site development documentation, and working directly with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.

Responsibilities

• Cook up and submit plan and permit submittal packages, guaranteeing completeness and precision
• Read and decipher site construction and architectural plans
• Manage electronic file organization and documentation
• Print and plot drawings and submittals for internal and external review
• Pass along supervisor feedback and coordinate revisions with team members
• Track permitting conditions and ensure compliance with associated requirements
• Carve out research into local land development codes and permitting procedures
• Collaborate with internal project managers and external consultants or agencies
• Keep tabs on project timelines and maintain thorough records throughout the permitting process

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating construction plan/permit submittals
• Basic understanding of the site land development permitting process
• Experience with local land development codes and permitting (preferred)
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with construction software
• Self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple priorities
