About the Role
As a Security Officer at DK Security, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties. Your duties will vary depending on the specific contract, offering a diverse and challenging work environment.
- Customer Service: Be a positive reflection of the company and yourself by assisting client staff, visitors, and coworkers, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Observe and Report: Stay alert and report any suspicious activities and incidents.
- Security Presence: Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in and around building lobbies, reception areas, control centers, etc.
- Security Officer Duties: Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
- Access Control: Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas, check employee and vendor IDs, and follow proper access procedures.
- Safety Patrol: Ensure a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors, enforce policies and procedures, and report safety concerns.
- Emergency Response: Assist in emergencies, including administering CPR/First Aid/AED care and communicating with emergency personnel.
- Security Liaison: Maintain professional communication with client staff, follow through with requests, and update supervisors on all client communications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
- Must pass a drug screening at hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana; federal compliance required).
- Must not have been convicted of any felonies or disqualifying misdemeanors (e.g., dishonesty, fraud, assault, weapons, controlled substances, or two or more alcohol-related offenses).
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk (including stairs) for 8–12 hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (or willing to become certified) and capable of administering lifesaving care.
- Must have clear vision (20 feet, corrected if necessary) and the ability to hear conversations in loud environments (in-person or via radio).
- Must be able to use a smartphone or computer for emails and online training.
- Must fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must possess professionalism, excellent customer service skills, integrity, and a positive attitude.
- Must complete required trainings on time and adhere to all client and company policies.
Note: Current employees on active disciplinary probation, those previously removed from this contract, or former employees on disciplinary probation at separation are not eligible.
Pay
$17.60 per hour.
Schedule
Various days (Monday–Sunday), including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

This is an unarmed security position; weapons are not permitted on the premises, including in personal vehicles.
