Superior is looking for a Construction Scheduler to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. The Scheduler plays a pivotal role in planning and coordinating electrical construction projects, working closely with Project Operations, Field Operations, general contractors, and suppliers.
About the role
The Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring seamless sequencing of tasks to achieve project objectives. This role optimizes timelines, allocates resources, and minimizes delays.
Responsibilities
- Create and update project electrical construction schedules using P6, considering activities, sequencing, resources, and constraints
- Establish accurate timelines for construction activities, accounting for dependencies and critical paths
- Coordinate with Project Operations, Field Operations, and other stakeholders to allocate resources efficiently, resolve conflicts, and minimize delays
- Monitor project progress by collecting and analyzing data, identifying schedule deviations, risks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of schedules, progress reports, change orders, and relevant records
- Generate regular reports, presentations, and updates to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and upcoming activities
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction scheduling through continuous professional development
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in Construction Scheduling or 4 years of Field Operations experience in electrical construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field, or possess experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in these fields
- Proficiency in construction scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) is a bonus
- Knowledge and experience in electrical construction processes, methods, and terminology is a bonus
