Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and manage detailed project schedules from start to finish using techniques like the Critical Path Method.
- Coordinate the efficient allocation and timing of labor, equipment, and materials to avoid delays and bottlenecks.
- Proactively identify potential risks, analyze schedule impacts, and develop mitigation plans for issues like weather delays, design changes, and material shortages.
- Track project progress against the schedule, analyze performance, and provide regular updates and reports to project management and stakeholders.
- Serve as a central point of communication, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment and smooth workflow.
- Manage and incorporate changes, such as change orders, into the project schedule to maintain accuracy and control.
Skills
- Expertise in industry-standard scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Deep understanding of construction processes, work activity sequences, and dependencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams.
- Ability to perform complex schedule analyses, evaluate delays, and find solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in schedules, reports, and analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's degree (A.A) with 2 or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
