About the role

Foster CM Group is seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler for a full-time position in our Dallas, Texas office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-8 years of scheduling principles, critical path method (CPM) scheduling, and risk analysis techniques, along with 5-10 years of scheduling experience on aviation-related construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in implementing project planning and scheduling strategy, plans, and procedures.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS).
  • Build baseline CPM schedule.
  • Assist in preparing contract time determinations based on plans and specifications.
  • Evaluate cost and/or resource loaded planning schedules.
  • Assist in evaluating baseline and monthly schedule submittals for compliance with contract specifications.
  • Conduct project schedule analysis, critical path analysis, and schedule risk analysis.
  • Identify schedule activities controlling the overall construction time or project's critical path.
  • Evaluate the impact of changes on project schedules through Time Impact Analyses (TIA).
  • Provide recommendations to resolve time, scope, and cost aspects of project changes or delays.
  • Plan night work windows, coordinate with airport operations to minimize disruption, and prepare technical reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or comparable practical experience preferred (other degree and/or experience will be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Familiarity with Schedule Analyzer or similar schedule analytics software.

  • Valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk/stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery & mechanical parts, uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to loud noise, and outside weather conditions. Physical Requirements: Intermittent unassisted sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, pushing and lifting is required. Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time for at least eight hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, ability to walk on uneven ground while physically maneuvering construction sites, ability to work in extreme temperatures or humidity, and potentially work at heights.

Other Requirements

  • Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected.
  • Short term, out of town, assignments may be required.
  • Long term, out of town, assignments may be required, with advance notice of planned dates.
  • May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime, and weekends.
