Construction Safety Manager (Indianapolis, IN)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of safety professionals on our jobsite, finding ways to help each grow and succeed
  • Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the general contractor and other trade partners
  • Conduct various jobsite trainings for team members, and ensure that all training records are logged and maintained
  • Investigate and document all injuries, incidents, and near misses; identify the root cause(s); and implement corrective actions
  • Evaluate and ensure proper procedures for crane lifts, excavations, electrical, and other high-risk activities
  • Maintain daily reports describing activities completed, critical conversations, issues, and other relevant items

Required Expertise

  • At least 5 years of experience as a safety professional in the construction industry
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Completed the OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 Occupational Safety and Health Standards course for the Construction Industry
  • Completed an OSHA 30-hour construction training course
  • CHST certification or eligibility to sit for it
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) recognition
