Construction Safety Manager

About the role

As a Construction Safety Manager with Cummings Electrical, you’ll play a key role in driving our Safety First culture across large-scale commercial and industrial projects throughout the DFW area. You’ll work directly with project teams to ensure compliance, champion best practices, and foster a proactive approach to keeping our people safe and our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Overall SSSP execution, including management of Subcontractor Safety Coordinators
• Sub-tier management, case & care management
• Oversee activities related to electrical, instrumentation, and controls
• Ensure safety remains a top priority on every job site at all times
• Work closely with project teams to develop and sustain an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC)
• Report directly to the Health and Safety Director
• Craft training, safety administration, work coordination, and high-risk activity planning and development

Requirements

• BS Occupational Safety & Health required
• 12-15 years relevant construction experience, or Certified Safety Professional (as recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals)
• Two years of relevant construction experience
• Minimum OSHA 510
• Minimum Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification (Board of Certified Safety Professionals)
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if needed

• NFPA 70E and LOTO
• First Aid, Narcan, and Bloodborne Pathogens Training
• CPR and AED Training
• Emergency Procedures Training
• Mental Health First Aid Training
