About the role
As a Construction Safety Manager with Cummings Electrical, you’ll play a key role in driving our Safety First culture across large-scale commercial and industrial projects throughout the DFW area. You’ll work directly with project teams to ensure compliance, champion best practices, and foster a proactive approach to keeping our people safe and our operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Overall SSSP execution, including management of Subcontractor Safety Coordinators
- Sub-tier management, case & care management
- Oversee activities related to electrical, instrumentation, and controls
- Ensure safety remains a top priority on every job site at all times
- Work closely with project teams to develop and sustain an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC)
- Report directly to the Health and Safety Director
- Craft training, safety administration, work coordination, and high-risk activity planning and development
Requirements
- BS Occupational Safety & Health required
- 12-15 years relevant construction experience, or Certified Safety Professional (as recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals)
- Two years of relevant construction experience
- Minimum OSHA 510
- Minimum Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification (Board of Certified Safety Professionals)
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if needed
Skills
Not required, but nice to have:
- NFPA 70E and LOTO
- First Aid, Narcan, and Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- CPR and AED Training
- Emergency Procedures Training
- Mental Health First Aid Training
