About the role

Antea®Group is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to represent the Data Center Owner during construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of hands-on H&S experience in construction, proficiency in managing high-risk activities, and experience with Hyperscale clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and implement H&S programs and procedures for construction projects.
  • Interface with client employees and contractors to ensure safe processes are followed in compliance with regulatory and company procedures.
  • Conduct IH monitoring (air sampling and noise monitoring).
  • Conduct health and safety auditing; understand federal OSHA and EPA regulations and their application to construction.
  • Assess potential health and safety risks of construction activities.
  • Provide technical guidance on high-risk activities (confined space, fall protection, cranes, lifts, electrical installation, etc.).
  • Develop compliance recommendations based on regulatory understanding and interpretation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Equivalent training and relevant experience in construction safety or EHS.
  • Experience with Hyperscale clients.
  • Willingness and availability to travel regionally and/or nationwide.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that may include non-traditional work hours.
  • Experience in evaluating and managing sub-contractors.
  • Deep understanding of OSHA regulations and their applicability.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to implement electrical safety procedures with an understanding of NFPA 70e and the control of hazardous energy sources.
  • Familiarity with NFPA, DOT, EPA, and health & safety regulations.
  • Additional safety training such as OSHA 10 or 30-hour for Construction or General Industry, 24-hour or 40-hour HAZWOPER.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of EHS experience in data center or large-scale mission critical construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, including sedentary to light work, frequent lifting, and occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including exposure to chemicals, pressure, and electrical hazards.
  • May be required to wear an air purifying respirator.

  • Earn an anticipated annual salary range of $110,000-$145,000, depending on qualifications, knowledge, and experience.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $110,000-$145,000.

Schedule

This is a traveling position requiring up to 100% travel. Project locations may include TX, LA, IN, NY, AZ, VA, OK, GA, FL, WA, WY, and additional locations as the organization grows.
